Weather support for AusSnowCam

Weather support for AusSnowCam

Jul 31

Today I released a new version of AusSnowCam with weather support. The data is currently being derived from BOM’s weather observations.

The phone version of the app displays the information via a popup message. Tablet version will make use of the space under the cam selection list.

Check it out if you haven’t already!

AusSnowCam – For the snow bunnies

AusSnowCam – For the snow bunnies

Jun 10

When the season is only a few days away… it becomes pretty damn hard to resist refreshing those webcams on the resort’s website to see how good the snow is looking – but what happens when you browse those sites on your phone…?
The moment you realize most resort websites load horribly on your phone, you’ve found yourself a problem – so I did what any normal nerd would do. I developed an app to fix it. Duh.

2 hours later – AusSnowCam was born (I agree, not the most original name ever, but it works… although the double s’ really do look out of place)

TEDxGuide Released!

TEDxGuide Released!

May 15

Last year I quickly whipped up an app for TEDxMelbourne to use as reference material for their event. It was launched a day or two before the event and the overall uptake was pretty poor but the feedback was generally positive.

I decided late last year I would further enhance the TEDxMelbourne app concept to help TEDx organisers from around the world.

TEDxGuide was eventually developed to be a city agnostic TEDx reference app for organizers to get their information on the application.

If you are a TEDx organiser, you don’t have to stress about getting an app developed specifically for your city – all you have to do is send me an email and your event will be up and listed on TEDxGuide in no time.

Download the app now by visiting the Android Market.
